Direct from the N Scale Architect, this DL&W Standard Tower HO kit represents one of the larger standard interlocking tower designs found at dozens of locations along the Lackawanna Railroad’s former right-of-way in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. This ornate yet functional “neo-classical” design showcases the Delaware Lackawanna & Western Railroads’ innovative use of reinforced concrete in not only the arched viaducts and bridges along the famous “Lackawanna Cut-Off’ but also in stations, freight houses and, of course, these interlocking towers. This kit is almost entirely composed of components laser cut from our exclusive TaskBoard® building sheets. TaskBoard®, a wood fiber product, is ideal for this kit because it so closely resembles poured concrete that the modeler has the option of not having to paint the wall surfaces at all ! TaskBoard® building sheets are available separately in two(2) different surface textures (basswood and white) and four(4) different thicknesses as part of our Model Builders’ Supply Line. This kit also features our usual high quality step-by-step instructions with scale drawings and progress photos, prototypical barrel tile roofing and QuickCut™ Glazing Sheets. The HO model shown is unpainted (except for some edges) and measures approximately 6”L x 4½”H x 4”W.
