ARHS in partnership with Bowser Manufacturing is pleased to announce the HO-scale Alco RS-3 #445. It will be decorated in the Reading's second generation green and yellow paint scheme. The Reading had three RS-3s painted in this scheme - #445, #449 and #494. These units were used in multiple on the Johanna Mine run or singly in local service. The model will feature air hoses, windshield wipers, grab irons, coupler lift bars, operating headlight, window glass, correct fuel tank, can motor, flywheels, blackened wheels with RP25 flanges and knuckle couplers. Analog (DC) version features a 21 pin plug for DCC and the DCC/Sound version features a LokSound V5 decoder.
ARHS is the exclusive seller of #445 projected to be available in the Dec 2024-March 2025 timeframe. The price will be $200 DC / $280 DCC Sound (plus shipping). Reservations can be made here on the Web Store. Upon ARHS' receipt of the models, customers with reservations will be notified to place their firm orders with payment via the Web Store (or Mail Order). The $10 reservation fee will be deduced from the prices listed above when calculating your final cost.
Finally note that #449 and #494 will be released by Bowser but #445 is exclusive to ARHS.
